HEAVY DUTY 6 WHEEL POWERCHAIR. When I give an opinion on a scooter or chair, it's not the opinion of a salesman, it's the opinion of someone who uses and understands what it's like to use mobility scooters and powerchairs. These are BRILLIANT powerchairs and this one is absolutely STUNNING! I first started using mobility scooters about 11 years ago when I was diagnosed with M.

About 3 years ago I'converted' to powerchairs. I still use scooters now and then but my everyday rides are now powerchairs.

For most uses, I just prefer powerchairs. They have SO many advantages. The BIG one is manoeuvrability.

Scooters are, putting it politely, a pain in the bottom in supermarkets and shops. The endless 3 point turns and having to worry about running over other shoppers gets very tiring.

Powerchairs however, are a delight for shopping. The ability to spin around in the length of the chair and to drive right up to a shelf or counter makes shopping a pleasure. Access is another issue, particularly important for people with leg or hip problems such as arthritis. With a scooter you have to get your legs past the tiller; with a powerchair you just get straight in.

It's so much easier to transfer. Like scooters, powerchairs come in a variety of sizes and shapes. The Quickie Salsa M2 MINI is marketed by Quickie as'The narrowest 6 wheel powerchair available'. I would describe it as, a very heavy duty, use-every-day, 6 wheel powerchair which is very narrow, making it equally and uniquely suitable for outdoor and indoor use. They are beautifully engineered things. It's something I appreciate every time I service one. Some manufacturers' chairs, even quite expensive ones, are very poorly designed and use low quality materials. They're not made'to a price', they just make them the best they can be and then charge what they have to charge.

When you work on a Quickie you can see and feel the quality. They're so easy to work on, with everything logically laid out. The quality is there in every part, from the heavy duty motors and super-solid steel chassis, right down to the nuts and bolts that hold it together; It's all top quality. I said before that the Salsa M2 Mini was one of the best all round powerchairs available? First you choose the base.

The Salsa M2 Mini base is the narrowest 6 wheel powerchair available. That narrowness allows it to squeeze through unfeasibly small gaps and gives you loads of room when you use it indoors and have to go through a door opening. You would think narrowness would make it unstable.

The Salsa M2 Mini feels incredibly'planted' and stability feels absolute. The mid wheel drive, sophisticated linked coil sprung suspension, large diameter mid drive drive wheels and front and rear outrigger wheels, make this a chassis that can handle almost anything you can throw at it.

The seating on this example is the standard and very comfortable Quickie cushions on the fixed base. Using the Salsa M2 is an absolute hoot! Now I realise that's not a comment you expect to see in an advert or a review of a mobility product, but whilst none of us want to have to use a chair or scooter, if we do, then why shouldn't it be fun?

And the Salsa M2 Mini really is laugh-out-loud fun to use. It is SO quick and precise and the compactness seems to give you so much'space' around you when you're manoeuvring. It is a wonderful thing to get around on. Even if you're a beginner you'll be spinning around doing'doughnuts' on it after just a few minutes. It's the nearest thing I've ever used to a magic carpet.

You don't get the pitching back and forth you get in lesser chairs, it just flies along keeping you comfortable and level, whilst the suspension deals with pretty much whatever you throw at it. It's not a'full' off roader, so if driving up Ben Nevis is your thing, then go for one of the huge 4 wheel drive chairs, but for everyday'normal' use, on pavements, roads, tracks or footpaths, along a canal bank, round a National Trust property, or around your local park, the Salsa M2 Mini handles it incredibly well. It will deal with the supermarket run equally well, with tremendous manoeuvrability.

When you finish in the shops it will take you home, easily dealing with the lumps and bumps of today's pavements. When you get home, that super narrow chassis makes it brilliant around the house. That is most of what makes the Salsa M2 Mini one of the best all round powerchairs, but the thing that seals it, is that it's a Quickie and they are simply the best quality power chairs available. As you can probably tell, I'm super impressed with this chair and I'm absolutely sure you will be too. I've serviced, checked and tested it and it's running great.

It really is in amazing condition. I absolutely guarantee you'll be impressed by the condition. The batteries are tested and good and the Salsa M2 Mini comes complete with a heavy duty 24v fast charger.

A few examples of comments from customers are shown below. What an amazing customer service and excellent item thank you so much. Really pleased with the scooter...

If you live further away than 200 miles from Lancashire, contact me on 07534 562317 and I'll give you a price. You are also welcome to collect from our base which is in Mawdesley, Lancashire. I would rather do that than sell an unsuitable item to you. Mobility Scooters and Chairs are a very complicated subject, they come in a HUGE variety of different types and sizes and people do too, so matching one to the other requires knowledge and experience.

We don't work like that.
