8 MPH ROAD, PAVEMENT OR OFF ROAD. FULL FRONT AND REAR SUSPENSION. LCD DISPLAY AND LED LIGHTS. When I give an opinion on a scooter or chair, it's not the opinion of a salesman, it's the opinion of someone who uses and understands what it's like to use mobility scooters and powerchairs. I could finish this review here but I'll expand a bit.

The Maxer is Kymco's top of the range'super scooter'; the best one they make. We don't sell new scooters, as I think they're such bad value. New ones depreciate like falling stones. The whole range is great and the Maxer is the biggest and best. I'll begin with the thing that should be the least important (but isn't), the looks. The Maxer is a thoroughly modern looking scooter; very'now' and not at all like the scooters of even 10 years ago.

You get full LED lights, indicators and stop lights. You get an LCD'infodash' with clock, speedo, battery condition and all manner of other read outs.

And you get great looks. As I said, it shouldn't matter, but we're all vain to some extent and if you need to use a scoot then you might as well ride around on something that makes people go'wow' rather than'ahhh'. The Maxer is a'sporty' scooter, with fast responses and firm suspension. If you want a pillowy ride then it's not for you; you would be better with something like a Prorider Roadking, which whilst it doesn't have the capability of the Maxer is like riding a blancmange.

The Maxer is designed to give a very responsive ride. Firstly it has big wheels, which as any of you who've read my listings before will be aware, is the single most important thing in the ride of a scooter. The bigger they are, the better the scooter will ride over bumps and undulations.

The Maxer is also fitted with full front and rear coil and damper suspension, which does a great job of smoothing out the lumps and bumps that you get on today's roads and pavements. I said roads as the Maxer is of course a Class 3 scooter which means you can register it and use it on roads if you wish. Personally I never feel safe on a scooter on the road, but I know lots of people who use them on road, so each to their own and if you want to then the Maxer is a terrific choice. If you like a bit of off road, then the Maxer will happily do that too. It has a ton of ground clearance and the big wheels and suspension mean that runs in the park, or down canal towpaths or on National Trust paths are all within your scope when you're on a Maxer. If you end up enjoying yourself so much that you don't notice that you're running out of light, not a problem, the lights on the Maxer are genuinely usable and will let you see where you're going and let others see you. The seat is a'Captains Chair' style one and is very plush.

I mentioned that the Maxer is a'sporty' scooter and it is. The steering is super precise and lets you place the scooter just where you want it. Other than massive full on off roaders I don't know of another scooter with better clearance.

For nipping to the supermarket is doesn't matter but for off road use it really does. Tree roots and rocks that would trip up most other scooters, the Maxer can just roll over without getting'beached'. As a'use it every day' scooter the Maxer is close to ideal and it's hard to think of another scooter with this range of abilities. This example has some scratches and a small crack / chip on the back plastic cover. The headrest isn't with it and there's a bit more'play' in the seat than I'd like. IE it rocks back and forth a little bit, nothing major and it's reflected in the price.

Otherwise it's in very nice condition as per the pictures. It's running superbly, the batteries are tested and hold charge well and the tyres are good. The motor has been stripped and rebuilt and is super strong. Overall an excellent, well made, stylish, fast and dependable scooter built for everyday use. A few scratches etc as detailed above, but a good solid scooter.

A few examples of comments from customers are shown below. What an amazing customer service and excellent item thank you so much Really pleased with the scooter... If you're not, contact me and I'll see what I can do.

This ensures that your scooter or chair arrives with you safely and even more importantly keeps you safe too. , costs to deliver to these more'remote' locations. Plus, I charge a lot less than the big carriers.

It's also nice to know that your chair or scooter has reached you in one piece! Not something you can always be sure of with couriers! I would rather do that than sell an unsuitable item to you.

Mobility Scooters and Chairs come in a HUGE variety of different types and sizes and people do too, so matching one to the other requires knowledge and experience.
