The two items from their extensive range that we sell most of are the lightweight'Illusion' scooter and the item listed here, the even lighter Aerolite powered folding wheelchair.

There are a lot of folding electric wheelchairs available now and most of them weigh around 26 to 30 kgs. The Aerolite weighs just 22kgs complete with battery.

That's a BIG difference. The difference between'I can't lift it' and'I can'. There are some super cheap and super light chairs available on the big online shopping sites but whilst cheap, the quality is often, not great. They tend to achieve their lightweight through using very flimsy materials. I've actually been on one of these chairs when it literally snapped in two.

The chassis broke, right through, in two places. The Aerolite is a very lightweight powerchair, weighing just 22kgs including battery, but it achieves its lightness through clever design and the use of quality materials. The main chassis of the Aerolite is a light but incredibly strong aluminium box section, which forms the centre support and holds the lithium battery. This gives the Aerolite its admirable combination of strength and lightness.

Unless you do something incredibly silly, you will not break an Aerolite in two. Another great aspect of the design of the Aerolite is its compactness when folded, particularly its'slimness'. At just 31" x 23.5" x 12.5 the Aerolite will fit in almost any car. Folding and unfolding is really easy to do and takes about 10 seconds. In use the aerolite is a very comfortable chair, nippy and with the usual spin on the spot manoeuvrability that you get with powerchairs.

The Aerolite is a also a thoroughly modern looking powerchair. A million miles away from the powered wheelchair look of older chairs and something that will have people saying'can I have a go! Finally, I need to mention the build quality. I'm quite geeky about how well things are built and it's one of the reasons I'm so fond of Motion Healthcare products.

They are SO well built. Overall, the Aerolite is a superbly built chair for those who like to travel and equally good if you want a top quality lightweight chair that will go easily in the boot of your car.
