When I give an opinion on a scooter or chair, it's not the opinion of a salesman, it's the opinion of someone who uses and understands what it's like to use mobility scooters and powerchairs. SUNRISE MEDICAL / QUICKIE Q200R. The Quickie Q100R is probably the most popular heavy duty powerchair available. It does virtually all you could want from a powerchair.

First there's the build quality. Quickies are probably the best built chairs available. These things aren't built down to a price, they're built to be the best and to last. Then there's the design. I love working on Quickies.

Everything is so well laid out and everything is such good quality, from the heavy duty motors and super solid chassis right down to the nuts and bolts. Using the Q100R is a pleasure. Comfortable, smooth, controllable and again, solid. Lesser chairs tend to rattle about over bumps.

Quickies just go about their business, taking everything in their stride. You'll have noticed that I've been talking about the Quickie Q100R but the chair listed here is the Q200R. Whilst the Q100R is almost the perfect chair and will handle virtually any situation, there are times when it's not'quite' enough. The Q100R isn't an off-road chair. It has off-road capabilities, but like any chair or scooter it's limited by its wheel size. As anyone who has read any of my listings will know, I rabbit on about wheel size a lot. It's the single biggest thing affecting the ride quality of a scooter or chair. Simply put, the bigger the wheel size the smoother the ride. The Q100R has quite big wheels; the ones on the Q200R are bigger still! It also has a longer chassis. The wheels and the chassis give the Q200R much greater off road capabilities and even if you don't venture off the beaten track, the improved ride quality and greater hill climbing capability make a difference even on pavements. The Q200R feels indomitable; like nothing will phase it or stop it and whilst, like any chair,, it has its limits, for virtually any situation, the Q200R will deal with it. There are flashier looking powerchairs, there are bigger powerchairs, but I can't think of another with the same all round ability as the Q200R. This example is in great condition, with excellent batteries.

It has the odd little mark from its limited use, but very little and overall it looks great and it runs beautifully. Hard to find a nicer example of this brilliant, super solid, go nearly!
