Red S SINGER 29K71 FREE ARM HEAVY DUTY LEATHER PATCHER SEWING MACHINE HEAD ONLY(electric 240V and hand crank). Serial Number: ES742171 manufactured in Clydebank, Scotland at around 1961 and only 1500 were produced. Good working order see sewn sample. The Singer Sewing Machine above is known as the 29K Patcher. A very versatile machine, will sew up Thick and medium Leather depending on the type of leather and the ability of the person using the machine. Cosmetic signs of wear and tear age related. Making this an ideal machine for leathercraft, shoe or boot repairs, horse blankets, etc.

A favourite with Leather Workers and Cobblers. The machine has a long arm as you can see in the picture and this allows.

You to sew in patches on any item, or add or repair to items with no need to take apart. The revolving sewing head allows for sewing patch circles even inside a boot toe.

It is also as happy as sewing light material as it is heavy leather.
