This is a heavy duty air compressor which comes with its own carry bag for neat storage. It is 176 x 93 x 159 millimetres in size. This item is 30AMP, 12V, 200W, 150 PSI with 11 BAR. It includes three nozzle adaptors for bikes, tyres and balls etc. It has a 3 metre cord and a plug with on/off.

This is exactly what I wanted - a tyre pump, with a pressure gauge, that works much faster than the ones that plug into a cigarette lighter socket. An unexpected benefit of the long yellow air hose is that even when the pump is running the gauge reads only just over the actual pressure in the tyre.

Despite all this I've only given it 4 starts because of 3 minor issues. The gauge is accurate but because it goes to over 10 bar it is difficult to read it to an accuracy of 0.1 bar, which is about as accurate as I need my tyre pressures to be.

There is no bleed valve on the hose that attaches to the tyre valve - the best way of getting a tyre correctly inflated is to slightly over-inflate it and then bleed air out until you get down to the required pressure. With this puppy I have to over-inflate, remove it from the wheel, and use one of my free-standing gauges but it's still a lot faster than my previous pump. The instructions that come with it don't tell you very much at all, and in particular don't tell you how to attach the yellow air hose to the outlet from the pump.

This puzzled me for a few minutes but fortunately a passing window cleaner came to my aid. You have to pull back on the ring at the end of the black hose and then the two fittings will mate securely together. Just what I needed, a tyre inflator with a bit more oomph than the usual ones. It certainly looks a bit more'industrial strength'. My only real complaint is that the gauge could be better, but it's adequate.

Quick to pump up the tyres even large tyres that I have on a BMW. Having croc clips is much easier as you just connect it to the battery rather than running the engine to keep the cigarette lighter on. Yes I would recommend very good product does to job brilliantly, with so many new car coming on the market with NO spare wheel it's a must have item.
