Vintage Electric Singer 201k Sewing Machine Heavy Duty Stitching Bentwood Case - NEEDS REWIRE. (our ref 113223) Serial Number EG2923089 dates to c1950 This machine has the older style wiring and is in need of a total rewire - the wire covering is broken and missing in places. Plugged it in to test its working condition and the electrics start up but the mechanisms are stiff and dry so it struggles to move. I don't want to burn the motor out so I haven't forced it. The machine will stitch when the wheel is turned manually though so hopefully once it is serviced it will work ok again. The light is not working - possibly needs a new bulb - I'm not sure. The rubber disc that goes on the screw that holds the base to the wooden case is missing so this part is a little loose. Cosmetically it is in lovely condition, the decals and enamel are glossy and unworn and the metal front plate is bright and shiney.

The wooden case does have some wear and chipping to the varnish though. Comes with key and is lockable.
